Ms. Trinh Nguyen
Chief Investment Officer
Trinh Nguyen is the Chief Investment Officer for Manulife Asset Management in Vietnam. Trinh recently joined MAMV in October 2011.
Previously, Trinh was a Senior Investment Manager at Prudential Vietnam Fund Management Company. She has a wide range of investment experiences in both equity and fixed income investments as well as in portfolio management of a Vietnam listed mutual fund. She also has expertise in private equity and property related investments including deal sourcing, deal execution, investment monitoring and divestments. She managed a US$40m portfolio of real estate related investments prior to joining MAMV.

Prior to that, Trinh was an Equity Analyst at Morningstar Australasia Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Morningstar, Inc. (Chicago, USA) in Sydney, Australia where she gained in-depth knowledge of equity valuation and analysis.
Trinh holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with double majors in Accounting and Finance from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. Trinh is a CFA Charter Holder. She also holds the Fund Management License issued by the State Securities Commission of Vietnam.

Mr. Hai Nguyen
Head of Fixed Income
Hai Nguyen is Fixed Income Manager for Manulife Asset Management (Vietnam) Company Limited (MAMV). He is responsible for managing the fixed income portfolios for both General Funds (on-balance sheet) and Third Party assets (unit linked funds).
He joined MAMV in June 2011. Previously, he was the Head of Research at Vietcombank Securities, one of Vietnam’s biggest securities houses. His extensive experience in corporate finance, investment and research compliments and enriches MAMV expertise.

Hai has a Master degree in Banking and Finance from Ghent University, Belgium. Hai is a CFA Charter holder and qualified for a fund management license of State Securities Commission (SSC).

Ms. Cuong Tran
Head of Equities
Cuong Tran is Head of Equities of Manulife Asset Management (Vietnam) Company Limited (MAMV). Cuong manages MAMV’s Vietnam equity funds including mutual funds and segregated funds. Cuong oversees the Vietnam equity analyst team of MAMV.
Cuong joined MAMV in 2007. Prior to joining MAMV, she was a Senior Lecturer in Corporate Finance and Auditing in the University of Economics in Vietnam. She also has extensive working experience on accounting and auditing when working as an auditor for KPMG’s Vietnam office. She managed a USD110 million portfolio of investment projects when working as Planning and Investment Manager at PepsiCo Vietnam.

Cuong holds an Master degree from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. She graduated with honors from the HCMC University of Economics major in Accounting and Auditing. Cuong is a CFA Charter holder and holds a fund management license issued by Vietnam State Securities Commission.
